Bryan Trottier
Hockey Hall of Fame 1997
“In hockey or in school, there are times you will want to make a choice that takes the least amount of effort. Especially because it often seems that making the right choice doesn’t seem to be worth it.
But the most important grade on your report card is effort. There wasn’t any one decision, but many decisions and steps along the journey to achieve my dream of playing in the NHL and winning Stanley Cups. It took setting and achieving goals, some trial and error, a lot of practice, and yes SUPPORT, little or big, from people around me.
So look ahead and decide where you would like to go in life! When you get there, you’ll discover that making the right choices along the way was worth more than you can imagine.”
