On that night, the group of NHL Hall of Famers including Borje Salming, Glenn Anderson, Bryan Trottier, Steve Shutt and goaltender Billy Smith will be part of the Legendary Hockey Heroes playing the Fredericton Police All-Stars with proceeds going to the Brendan Oreto Needy Kids program.
Game time is 7 o’clock.
Other former NHLers in the Legends lineup will include Rick Vaive, Rick Middleton, Bernie Nichols, Dave Ellett, Cliff Ronning, Igor Kravchuk, Gary Leeman, Tony Currie, Jimmy Mann and Gordie Gallant.
Former NHL referee Ron Hoggarth will add to the competitive spirit, fun and antics of the game.
Matt Minglewood, a two-time Juno Award nominee with three gold albums, will perform as well as lace up the skates as an Honorary Legends’ player. Adding spice to the evening will be performances by a number of local figure skaters, Crazy Claude-the-Trumpeteer and the Call to Recycle Tykes.
Individual game tickets are $20 with a family of four getting in for $60. Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-268-7371 or at the door one hour before the start of the game.
